Clare Dalton is a licensed occupational therapist and educator with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern Maine. Her background spans school-based services, clinical practice, and community programs, including specialized day camps, youth initiatives, and arts-based programs for children. Clare completed her clinical internships at Storey Smith Pediatric Clinic and in an acute rehabilitation hospital in the Boston area. Before becoming an occupational therapist, Clare taught special education in Maine public schools and coached Unified Basketball for the Special Olympics, experiences that deepened her commitment to inclusive, child-centered care. Through her work as an educator, Clare developed specialized training in executive function and self-regulation support, assistive technology, behavior intervention, and trauma-informed care, which continue to inform her holistic, collaborative approach to therapy. Clare is passionate about supporting children’s sensory needs through play-based, child-led therapy and loves helping children learn, grow, and build self-esteem. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and creating art with friends. Clare lives in Portland, Maine, and is a proud cat mom to two silly cats, Stevie Nicks and Berlioz.
